That magical time of day when the sun dips in the West , the clouds start turning to their glowing orange evening hues leaving the castle bathing in warm sunlight reflected in the wet sand. The light was fading fast on the beach as I made my reference sketch using soft pastels on heavy grade paper. However, the pastels were a great medium for recording the light effects quickly. I used this reference sketch to later complete this original painting in oils on canvas board.
This original painting is supplied unframed as framing is such a personal choice.
The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity personally signed by the artist.
