High tide is just receding on a bright summer’s morning , carving its watery shapes into the wet sand.
The historic lime kilns sit above the small harbour where the moored yachts and small fishing boats bob about in the swell of the pristine green and blue sea with the surf breaking on the beach.
I made a watercolour sketch on the beach , using this as a later reference to complete this original oil painting on canvas board.
This original painting is supplied unframed as tastes in framing are such a personal choice.
