A sunny morning on the long white sands of Newton with small boats on the beach in front of the dreamy square of old fisherman’s cottages. In the distance the ruins of Dunstanburgh castle are perched on the long rocky outcrop at the South of Embleton bay. I sat on a large driftwood tree trunk to sketch this scene in soft pastels on a beautiful summer’s morning as people strolled with their dogs and children on the beach. The pastel sketch was used as a reference for my finished oil painting from which this print was made.
Each card is individually sealed in a cellophane slip and comes with a plain white envelope.
